It's not that expensive for a resort location, staff were attentive and seem to be working through lunchtime, which I appreciate so I could check in early. Bathrooms super clean. Still it's a very busy tourist resort place.
It would be nice if there were a dedicated place, like I've seen other campgrounds that have lockers with electrical outlets in them for a couple of euros, for bike tourists to charge phone batteries overnight, rather than having to use reception (can't leave early) or the library or bathroom (possibility of theft, or, as happened to me here, someone just randomly unplugs your battery).
beautiful place to stay the night with a camping van near the sea and market. we were lucky to get a place there for two nights, which we deserved on the day of when we stayed there. there’s wifi (we didn’t use it, i’m not sure how it works …
I arrived a little before the office opened so had lunch at the adjacent snack/ restaurant which was reasonably priced and perfectly fine. Covid procedures were strictly adhered to with only one person allowed to check in at the office at a time. The lady that looked after me was great, friendly and very helpful. I was allowed to have a walk around the campsite before returning to request my selected pitch. Be careful here and choose well. The sun is hotter than hell and a shaded pitch is a must. All pitches seemed to be flat and level and sandy so make sure you have appropriate tent pegs! The toilet blocks were spotless and included toilet paper, France is on the up! My one gripe though would be that the shower temp was not adjustable, I like a hot shower to get clean but a lower temperature to cool off and freshen up is a must otherwise you’re sweating before you get back to your tent. The marina is just a short walk away with all the benefits that entails. Just be sure to wear a linen shirt, shorts, flip flops and a €500 pair of sunglasses to blend in. There was a bit of noise at night. In the evening a local disco was going on although this didn’t go on too late. A distant road though, whilst not overly noisy, could be heard all night. As a one night stop I found it perfectly fine if a little hot.
Nice campsite with good sized pitches, sunny and shaded areas. Easy walk to the beach at La Grande Motte or to the town. Good clean sanitary facilities; good showers and toilets with seats and paper. Café/bar and shop.
A nice place with a lot of shadow but small spots. But i will go back.
We have stayed here on a number of occasions and really love the ambiance it provides. It offers the easy solution on accessibility and being a contributor to ACSI offers a very good off peak discount. It attracts a good mix of nationalities including a few Brits with the same candour and we have made many French friends along the way. The site is very open so that it allows people to interact easily. It does not have a pool which is only a small downside. It does have a small downside because it is so open in that it attracts groups of young men on weekends that gets a little over the top when the booze starts flowing - don't pick an emplacement near the toilet areas where it gets to resemble a mini festival.
Level pitches and good sanitary facilities. 15 minutes walk to the seafront in La Grand Motte via footpath and bridges over the roads. Free (but slow) wifi at the reception area. 4G not great on site. Lots of short stay campers and others who are there for the season.
Friendly campsite with a pleasant and informal atmosphere. Bar, restaurant, fruit & veg stalls. All the usual services. Staff are very helpful and go over and beyond of what is required.||Close to beach and shops.
